The Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) is a higher education institution based in Colombia. It was founded in 1981, and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and lifelong learning courses, both face-to-face and by distance (e.g. online). It has 50 learning centres across Colombia, furthermore they have a headquarter in Florida, called UNAD Florida, it was founded in 2001. Through its Florida campus in the U.S., UNAD offers diversified higher education programs in a bilingual environment (English and Spanish) in a variety of fields. These include Business Administration, Mass Communication, Psychology, Information Technology and Education. All courses offered at UNAD Florida are distance education courses and are fully delivered online.
The university has 45,000 students.
